TL;DR
On 20 October, from 18:00 to 21:00, Jerusalem joins The AI Collective’s global Hack for Humanity with an in-person, three-hour AI build lab focused on the natural disasters our region faces.
Why disasters
Water pollution, sandstorms, wildfires and water shortages are not abstract here. They shape daily life across the region. Hack for Humanity asks a simple question: how can AI help us predict these events earlier and respond to them better?
The build lab
Three hours, small teams, real problems. Teams will design and build AI systems for disaster prediction and emergency response, with the chapter team on hand to help. The event is co-hosted by Reut Frankel with Mouhammad Jayousi, Max Friedman, Celia Zeilberger, Marc-Philippe Rudel, Maysaa Abu El Hija, Tawfiq Khalilieh and Tala Jabaren.
